Everyday Frames
Privacy Policy
Last updated 25 October 2026
The short version
- You don't need an account to use our apps.
- Your photos, videos, recordings and projects stay on your device. We don't upload them.
- We collect usage analytics, not linked to your name or email, to see which features are used and to fix problems.
- Payments are handled by Apple. We never see your card details.
- We don't sell your information and we don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
1. Who we are
Everyday Frames ("we", "us", "our") makes apps for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, and runs the websites for those apps. This policy applies to all of our apps and websites (together, the "Services"). If you have a question, email us at[email protected].
2. Content you create stays on your device
Photos, videos, audio, voice-overs, captions, edits and projects you create in our apps are stored on your device. We don't upload them to our servers and we can't see them. They leave your device only when you choose to, for example when you save to your Photos library, share to another app, or send a file to another device you've linked.
- Your device may include app data in its backups (iCloud or a computer), depending on your settings. Apple handles those backups under its own privacy policy.
- Some apps let you see their files in the Files app or in Finder when your device is connected to a computer.
- Some apps keep deleted items in a "recently deleted" area for a limited time so you can restore them, after which they're removed permanently.
- Deleting an app removes its content from your device, apart from anything you already saved or shared elsewhere.
3. Permissions we ask for
Our apps ask for access only when you use a feature that needs it. You can change any of these at any time in your device's Settings app.
| Permission | What it's used for |
|---|---|
| Camera and microphone | Recording photos, videos and sound, and recording voice-overs. |
| Photos | Saving what you create to your library, and importing items you pick. Some apps ask for access to your photo library so they can show your photos and videos (for example, by day) and arrange them into layouts for you. This happens on your device. Your photos aren't uploaded. |
| Music library (optional) | Adding songs from your music library as background music. The music stays on your device. |
| Location (optional, off by default) | Adding where a photo or video was taken to the file's own metadata, if you turn this on. The location isn't sent to us. Remember that it travels with the file if you share it. |
| Speech recognition | Voice commands and automatic captions or transcripts. Apple provides speech recognition. Where your device supports it, this runs on the device. Otherwise your audio may be sent to Apple for processing under Apple's privacy policy. We don't receive or store your audio. |
| Local network and Bluetooth | Connecting to nearby devices you choose, such as another iPhone, a Bluetooth remote, headphones or a game controller. Information passes directly between your devices, not through our servers. |
| Notifications (optional) | Reminders you turn on. These are scheduled on your device. |
4. Features that run on your device
Features such as background removal, subject and face detection, automatic framing, highlight picking and generated titles use Apple's on-device frameworks and models. They don't send your content to us or to any AI service. On some devices, Apple's own system frameworks may download language or model resources from Apple.
5. Apple Watch and linked devices
When you use an Apple Watch app or link two of your devices, the apps exchange control commands, status and live preview images with each other, and recorded clips are sent directly to the device you're working on. This happens over Apple's connectivity features or your local network and doesn't go through our servers. The other device can see the display name you give your device.
6. Information we collect
Templates and other downloaded content
Some apps download templates, stickers, fonts and similar content from our content server, hosted bySupabase. These requests don't include your photos, videos or projects. Like any internet request, they include technical information such as your IP address, which our hosting provider may log briefly for security.
Usage analytics (apps)
Our apps send usage events to Mixpanel, an analytics provider, so we can see which features are used, where people get stuck, and what to improve. This includes:
- A random identifier created by the app. It isn't your name, email or Apple ID.
- Actions in the app, such as opening screens, starting a recording, changing a setting, exporting or sharing (for example, which destination you picked), and errors.
- Technical details such as numbers of clips, durations, file sizes, quality settings and features used, plus text you type into in-app search fields.
- Whether you have a paid subscription, and the outcome of purchase attempts.
- Device and app information such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, and the display name of a device you link.
- Approximate location (country, region, city) that Mixpanel derives from your IP address.
We don't collect your photos, videos, audio, captions or project content, your contacts, or your precise location. We don't use analytics for advertising.
Purchases and subscriptions
Apple processes all payments through the App Store. We never receive your payment card details. We useRevenueCat to check which purchases are active on your device. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier, App Store transaction and receipt information (product, price, dates, renewal status), and basic device and app information. RevenueCat and Mixpanel are connected using the anonymous identifiers so we can understand trials, renewals and cancellations.
Crash reports
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may give us crash reports and diagnostics that don't identify you.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use them to reply. Mail to our domains is forwarded by Cloudflare's email service to an inbox hosted by Google.
Some apps include a feedback form. If you use it, we store the name, email address and message you enter, together with the app version, in our database (hosted by Supabase), and use them to read and reply to your feedback.
Our websites
Our websites use Google Analytics, which sets cookies, to measure visits: pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate location, and device and browser type. The websites are hosted by Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses to deliver pages securely and to protect against abuse. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, or use Google'sAnalytics opt-out add-on.
7. How we use information
- To provide the apps and their features, including restoring and managing purchases.
- To understand how the Services are used, fix bugs and improve them.
- To answer your messages and support requests.
- To keep the Services secure and to meet legal obligations.
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on our legitimate interests (analytics, security and improving the Services), on performing our agreement with you (purchases and features you ask for), and on your consent where the law requires it.
8. Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Services, under their own privacy terms:
- Apple: App Store payments, speech recognition, crash reports and system services.
- RevenueCat: purchase and subscription management.
- Mixpanel: app usage analytics.
- Google: website analytics and our email inbox.
- Cloudflare: website hosting, security and email forwarding.
- Supabase: hosting for downloadable app content and in-app feedback.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply.
Some of these providers are based in the United States or other countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. They're required to protect it.
9. How long we keep it
Content on your device stays until you delete it or the app. We keep analytics, purchase records, feedback and emails only for as long as we need them for the purposes above, or as the law requires, and then delete or anonymise them.
10. Your choices and rights
- Turn any permission on or off in your device's Settings app.
- Turn off sharing of crash data with developers in your device's privacy settings.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
- Block cookies or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on on our websites.
Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the GDPR in the EU and UK, and US state laws such as California's, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. To make a request, email [email protected]. Because we don't know who you are from analytics data, we may ask for details that help us find data linked to your device. We won't treat you differently for exercising your rights.
11. Children
Our Services aren't directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
12. Security
We keep collection to a minimum, keep your content on your device, and use reputable providers that protect data in transit and at rest. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what we hold.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll give you more notice, for example in the app or on our website.
